INVALID TRAFFIC POLICY

1. Purpose

Metaconex is committed to building and maintaining a transparent, fair, and trustworthy advertising ecosystem that protects the legitimate rights and interests of Advertisers, Publishers, Partners, Users, and Metaconex itself.

This Invalid Traffic Policy ("Policy") is established to prevent advertising fraud and to ensure that all advertising impressions, clicks, views, conversions, and other advertising interactions result from genuine user interest.

Any activity that artificially generates or inflates advertising metrics is strictly prohibited and may result in the restriction, suspension, or termination of the Services in accordance with this Policy, the Terms of Service, and applicable laws.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to every individual, organization, or legal entity using Metaconex advertising products, services, or platforms, including but not limited to:

  • Publishers;
  • Advertisers;
  • Website Owners;
  • Application Owners;
  • Network Partners;
  • API Users;
  • Resellers;
  • Affiliates; and
  • Any user or third party that generates, distributes, or interacts with advertisements through the Metaconex platform.

By registering an account or continuing to use the Services, the user acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with this Policy.

3. Definition of Invalid Traffic

"Invalid Traffic" means any traffic, impressions, clicks, views, conversions, or other forms of advertising interaction that do not reflect genuine user behavior or are generated for the purpose of manipulating advertising revenue, distorting performance data, or causing harm to Advertisers, Publishers, or Metaconex.

Invalid Traffic includes, but is not limited to:

  • Clicks or impressions generated by a Publisher on its own advertisements;
  • Unusual or repetitive clicks originating from the same user, device, or IP address;
  • Traffic generated by bots, robots, scripts, crawlers, or automated software;
  • Traffic originating from click farms, traffic exchanges, or purchased traffic services;
  • Auto Click, Auto Refresh, Auto Reload, or Auto Redirect mechanisms;
  • Traffic generated through VPNs, proxies, emulators, virtual machines, or identity-concealment technologies;
  • The use of AI agents or automated systems to generate advertising interactions;
  • Creating fake accounts or simulated devices to generate clicks or impressions; and
  • Any attempt to manipulate the advertising system or revenue attribution mechanisms by any means.

The examples above are illustrative only and do not limit Metaconex's determination of what constitutes Invalid Traffic.

4. Prohibited Activities

Users shall not directly or indirectly engage in, facilitate, or permit any person or entity to engage in any of the following activities:

  • Clicking on their own advertisements;
  • Artificially generating advertisement impressions to increase revenue;
  • Encouraging, requesting, or rewarding others to click advertisements;
  • Using messages such as "Click to support us," "Click our ads," "Click to unlock content," or similar wording;
  • Placing advertisements in locations that are misleading or likely to result in accidental clicks;
  • Disguising advertisements as buttons, menus, images, or ordinary website content;
  • Buying or selling clicks, impressions, or website traffic;
  • Hiring third parties to generate advertising interactions;
  • Using automated software or tools to generate advertising revenue;
  • Manipulating Metaconex's measurement or reporting systems;
  • Intentionally concealing the source of traffic; or
  • Engaging in any activity intended to distort advertising data or cause harm to Advertisers.

5. Publisher Responsibilities

Publishers are responsible for ensuring that all traffic directed to their websites, applications, or platforms is legitimate, transparent, and generated by genuine users.

Publishers must continuously monitor their traffic sources, detect and prevent suspicious activity, and implement reasonable measures to minimize Invalid Traffic.

Publishers remain responsible for Invalid Traffic even when such traffic is generated by employees, contractors, agencies, affiliates, partners, or any third party acting on behalf of or in connection with the Publisher.

A Publisher's lack of knowledge or direct involvement in Invalid Traffic shall not automatically relieve the Publisher of responsibility.

6. Metaconex Monitoring and Detection Rights

Metaconex reserves the right to utilize technical measures, data analytics systems, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, fraud detection technologies, device fingerprinting, cookies, IP addresses, system logs, device data, and other lawful technologies to detect Invalid Traffic.

Metaconex has sole discretion to evaluate traffic quality based on its internal standards and assessment criteria.

To protect the security and integrity of its systems and prevent circumvention, Metaconex is under no obligation to disclose its fraud detection algorithms, evaluation criteria, or Invalid Traffic detection methodologies.

7. Revenue Adjustments and Payments

Metaconex reserves the right to verify the validity of all advertising impressions, clicks, and advertising revenue before issuing any payment.

If Invalid Traffic is detected or reasonably suspected, Metaconex may:

  • Disregard invalid advertising interactions;
  • Adjust advertising revenue;
  • Deduct revenue generated from Invalid Traffic;
  • Withhold or refuse payment;
  • Recover payments previously made if fraud is subsequently confirmed;
  • Adjust account balances; and
  • Cancel or invalidate unpaid revenue.

Revenue displayed within the platform constitutes Estimated Earnings only and may change following the verification process. Only Finalized Earnings confirmed by Metaconex shall be considered eligible for payment.

8. Enforcement Measures

Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, Metaconex may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Issue a warning;
  • Request an explanation;
  • Require submission of system logs or verification documents;
  • Restrict advertisement delivery;
  • Reduce or disable monetization capabilities;
  • Adjust advertising revenue;
  • Withhold payments;
  • Recover previously credited revenue;
  • Temporarily suspend an account;
  • Permanently terminate an account;
  • Terminate the provision of the Services;
  • Terminate agreements with the Publisher; and
  • Report suspected legal violations to the appropriate governmental authorities.

Metaconex reserves the right to implement any of the above measures without prior notice where delay may result in harm to Advertisers, users, or the integrity of the platform.

9. Indemnification

The user agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Metaconex, its parent companies, affiliates, shareholders, officers, employees, partners, and service providers from and against any losses, damages, liabilities, claims, costs, or expenses arising out of Invalid Traffic generated by the user or any person or entity acting on the user's behalf.

Such indemnification may include, without limitation:

  • Lost advertising revenue;
  • Refunds issued to Advertisers;
  • Investigation costs;
  • Attorneys' fees;
  • Litigation expenses;
  • Fines or penalties imposed by competent authorities; and
  • Any other reasonable costs resulting from the user's violation of this Policy.

10. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Metaconex shall not be liable for any damages, loss of revenue, loss of business opportunities, or claims arising from the detection, investigation, verification, or enforcement of Invalid Traffic under this Policy.

Failure by Metaconex to detect, prevent, or promptly address Invalid Traffic shall not be construed as approval, certification, or a guarantee that such traffic is valid.

Metaconex reserves the right to modify, amend, or update this Policy at any time. Any revised version shall become effective immediately upon publication on the Metaconex Website or through its official communication channels. Continued use of the Services following such publication constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
